Abstract
In 1984, HHM under contract with Victoria Preservation Inc. completed a historic resources survey of Victoria, Texas. The survey enabled Victoria to have an inventory of its historic sites in order to implement a pragmatic approach to preservation planning. Following a comprehensive Historic Resources Survey undertaken by Victoria Preservation, Inc. in 1983-84, a methodical evaluation of the nearly 2,500 pre-1940 resources in Victoria was performed to identify those that met National Register standards. Abstract
In 1985, HHM under contract to Historic Waxahachie, Texas Inc. began a Historic Resources Survey surveying 1,988 pre-1935 historical sites. Of the sites surveyed, 85 structures were deemed eligible for NRHP nominations. Tasks for this survey included: inventory of all 1,988 resources, photographic documentation, and brief written evaluations of the property’s physical appearance. Abstract
The City of Ennis sponsored a historic resources survey in support of its participation in a 1982 city revitalization project with a Community Development Block Grant and the City's participation in the Main Street Program. The City hired HHM to document all pre-1935 buildings and structures within the city limits. Abstract
HHM conducted a comprehensive survey of all historic resources constructed prior to 1940 within the city limits. HHM recorded the address, type of resource, estimated construction date, and general physical condition of each identified resource and assigned a high, medium, or low preservation priority assessment based on their relative architectural significance and integrity. Phase 2 of the City of Dallas Historic Resources Survey is a comprehensive inventory of all buildings and structures built before 1940 and located in previously unsurveyed portions of Dallas. HHM identified 8,289 structures during this survey and categorized them into HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW preservation priority categories.
