Abstract

The Atlantic Terra Cotta Company was the largest producer of terra cotta in the world during the first quarter for the 20th century. Records in the Atlantic Terra Cotta Company collection provide a rich visual resource of terra cotta products and their use during the early 1900s. Abstract Dallas architects Marion Fooshee (1888-1956) and James Cheek (1895-1970) were known for their residential work that reflected extensive study of vernacular architecture in Spain, Mexico and southern California.
