Biographical Sketch
Artist and teacher. Born in Del Rio, Texas, 1947; attended Texas A & I in Kingsville and University of Texas at Austin. Known for murals painted in Austin, Texas, with Mexican American themes. Active in veterans' groups supporting peace in Central America.

47 color slides of artwork by Texas artist and activist Raúl Valdez. The collection includes 43 original slides and four duplicates (noted in the inventory). One slide loaned to the artist in 2013.
