Historical Note
The Hispanic Medal of Honor Society is dedicated to recognizing and promoting awareness of the Hispanics/Latinos who have received the United States' highest military honor, the Congressional Medal of Honor.
One of the ways, the Society pursues its mission is through travelling exhibits. For example, the Society’s "Legacy of Valor" exhibit display included artifacts, memorabilia, photographs, and examples of medal recipients. The exhibit highlighted the sixty (60) Medal of Honor recipients of Hispanic descent, Prisoners of War (POWs), astronauts and civic leaders.
In 2015, the Hispanic Medal of Honor Society became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
