B2a: History of Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) Research, 1898-2017, undated

The Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) Research sub-subseries contains the work conducted in 1985-1986 by Alofsin, editor Julia Bloomfield, and research assistant Andrea Greenwood to document and write a complete history of the GSD in celebration of Harvard's 350th Anniversary. The research chronicles both the history of the GSD and its teaching of architecture, landscape architecture and city planning. Materials include oral history interviews (some with sound recordings), photographic material, drawings, accumulated research articles and notes, files on faculty and students of the GSD, and original coursework created by GSD students. Alofsin continued to maintain his research files so some folders originally assembled in 1986 contain later additions. Original order is retained.
