Project# 0097.070 Historic Resources Survey of Enid, Phase 4: Southern Heights Neighborhood, Enid, OK, 1997

In 1997 HHM Inc. conducted an intensive-level architectural survey within the Southern Heights/East Park neighborhood, a historically African-American community located in the city of Enid, Oklahoma. The HHM survey team photographed and noted the salient physical characteristics of all properties within the project area, regardless of age. HHM also developed an extensive historic context for the neighborhood. HHM documented 254 within the neighborhood and determined that 103 were contributing to the Southern Heights/East Park potential historic district and that three were potentially individually eligible for listing in the NRHP.
