Project# 0096.080 Historic Resources Survey of Tyler, Phase 2, Tyler, TX, 1996

In 1996, HHM under contract to the City of Tyler, completed the second phase of a multi-phase project to inventory all pre-1947 buildings, structures, objects and sites. This report describes the process of identification, documentation and evaluations of the surveyed historic resources and identifies those most likely to be eligible for listing in the NRHP, as well as state and local designations. The survey identified 484 historic properties. These were identified in two survey areas. In the phase II-A area, 348 properties were inventoried, resulting in 32 properties eligibility for NRHP nomination. The survey of the phase II-B area identified 136 historic properties; of these, 19 were found eligible for NRHP nomination. The project lasted 11 months.
