Student works

Gerlinde Leiding is a Professor Emeritus at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture (UTSOA). Professor Leiding taught at UTSOA from 1969 to 2007 where her research focused on vernacular as well as Japanese architecture. The collection consists of student works collected by Leiding in her studio classes. Records include drawings, publications, and architectural models.

Architects Harold E. (Bubi) Jessen (1908-1979) and Wolfe Jessen (1915-1977) were brothers born in Austin, Texas and educated at The University of Texas. They opened Jessen and Jessen in 1938 and continued to practice in Austin with a range of partners for decades. The collection included papers, photographs, and drawings.

Raymond Everett (1885-1948) taught freehand drawing, painting, clay modeling and architectural history in the Department of Architecture of the University of Texas at Austin from 1915 to 1948. He also produced artwork on which he experimented with a variety of media. The collection consists of watercolor drawings documenting Everett's student work at Harvard University and slides of his book plates.

Richard Proctor Swallow is an architect, artist, and Professor Emeritus at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. He was project head and edited four publications on the environmental plan and prototype research facilities for the Buescher Science Park Project, in Smithville and Camp Swift, Texas. The collection documents his career as an architect and educator. Record types include faculty papers, student works, and architectural drawings.

Sir Aston Webb (1849-1930), London architect, designed many large public commissions throughout England between 1875-1915; he worked with E. Ingress Bell and later with his son Maurice Webb. The collection consists of architectural drawings, photographs, and tearsheets from British architectural periodicals that document the career of Sir Aston Webb.
