Scope and Contents Note
Sketches of artworks, exhibition catalogs, clippings, and printed materials from Chicana artist Marta Sanchez. The Marta Sanchez is divided into four series: 1) Printed Material, 2) Collected Material, 3) Visual Material, and 4) Oversize Material.
Printed Material series includes exhibit catalogs, postcards, calendars, brochures, newspaper clippings, and Cascarones material instructions.
Collected Material series includes binder/scrapbook that has similar things to the print material series. The artist assembled exhibit brochures, clippings, photos, and correspondence for her own shows and events she was invited too.
Visual Material series includes sketches by Sanchez.
Oversize Material series includes artwork, posters, prints, Cascarones by Narcissa Weatherbee stored in a wooden box, and Transcandental Trainyard portfolio.

Biographical Note
Chicana artist Marta Sanchez was born in San Antonio, Texas. She earned an MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and a BFA in Painting from the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches at The Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Tyler School of Art, and the Springside School.
