In an effort to maintain original order the original folder titles used by Dr. Vexler were honored.
The Curatorial and Exhibition Materials series is arranged by region and within the region chronoligcally. The regions covered include Cental & South America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Items of note include a large quantity of materials related to children's museums in Latin America and several folders on the cultural heritage of Jamaica.
The Research Materials series is arranged by region and within the region chronologically. These items record the activities and research interests of Vexler. Of note is a complete catalogue of the religious textiles held at Instituto Nacional de Antropología (INAH) in Mexico City.

Biographical Sketch
Jill Vexler received her B.A. in Anthropology and Art History from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California Los Angeles. She is a museum curator and consultant for museum exhibitions, community programs, and cultural installations. She is the editor and translator of the English edition ofMexican Textile: Line and Color (El textil mexicano: línea y color), the catalog of an exhibition held at the Museo Rufino Tamayo, 1986, among other catalogs and articles.
