Reti Family Collection

The collection ranges from 1953 to 1961, with one published book from 2022. This collection consists of photographs, negatives, slides, postcards, a scrapbook, a journal, and other printed materials relating to the Reti family during the 1950s and 1960s, including their time living in Venezuela. The collection is arranged in three series: Photographs, Printed Materials, and the G. Andrew Reti Slide collection.

The photographs are in roughly chronological order, being removed from their original photo albums for preservation reasons, but kept as close to the original order as possible. The two albums have been retained and are stored separately. The photos from the two albums are described as being from Album 1 or Album 2. The photography is notable for its depiction of the lives of those living in and around the oil camps of Venezuela at that time. Specific places and sites depicted in Venezuela have been noted. Many other photos and postcards from other locations, mostly in the United States, have not been specifically noted in this finding aid.

The G. Andrew Reti slide collection was donated separately from the rest of the Reti Family Collection but is included in this finding aid, being of the same subject matter.
