Scope and Contents Note

The Stephen Fierros Collection of Latin American Sheet Music is compiled of mostly 20th century Latin American music and was formed from a private collection donated to the Benson Latin Americna Collection. The collection is primarily published sheet music of piano solos and there are a small number of published anthologies.

The collection has been organized into series by country of publication and within each series the materials are arranged alphabeticall by the composer's last name. The three series are 1) Argentina 2) Brazil 3) Other Countries.

Abstract

Collection of 20th century sheet music from well-known composers of Argentina and Brazil. Other countries included are Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The majority of the collection is of music for piano solos.
