Scope and Contents Note
The William W. Sharp Photograph Collection consists of 21 black-and-white photographs, 214 color slides, and 9 oversize black-and-white photographs. Arranged chronolgoically and kept in the original order of the photographer, the photographs document oil exploration in Venezuela in the years 1951-1956. Oil camps, drill sites, and city and landscape scenes are included. Many of the photographs are dated and contain captions. There is a paper guide with item-level descriptions for the 214 slides.
