IV. Activities and Organizations,1928-1958, 1928-1958

Correspondence, printed material, reports, minutes, and financial documents reflect the activities in which Castañeda participated and organizations to which he belonged. The bulk of the series includes rich documentation of Castañeda's associations with three institutions within the University of Texas at Austin: the Latin American Collection of the University Library (later the Nettie Lee Benson Collection, General Libraries), the Department of History, and the Institute of Latin American Studies.

Subsequent subseries contain materials created during his brief tenure as Superintendent of the San Felipe School District in Del Rio, correspondence and financial records related to the Mexican Photoprint Company, and other subseries directed at his international and religious activities.
