Letter from Pedro Nolasco Mora, head of the Mercedarian Order in Madrid, adressed to provincial governors (Río de la Plata, the Philippines, and the frontier of New Spain) calling for them to collect alms to pay ransoms for Christian captives held in these territories by los indios Pampas, los Moros of the Philippines, and los indios Apaches of the Province of Texas. Signed by Pedro Nolasco Mora and approbated by Friar Mariano Lozano y Condee. Affixed with an embossed seal of the Mecedarian Order. Printed, 6 pages.
