Speakers include Leonel Castillo (The Economic Impact of the Undocumented Worker), Nestor Rodriguez (The Undocumented Worker: A Demographic Analysis of his Family), Isaias Torres (Education of Undocumented Children), and Norma Solis (Implementing the New Texas Bilingual Education Act). Event sponsored by the Chicano Law Students Association (CHLSA) in conjunction with the UT Law School Foundation. Castillo was director of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) under President Carter. He also served as City of Houston Comptroller. Rodriguez, a sociology graduate student at UT Austin. Torres, a senior partner with Lopez, Medina, Ramirez and Torres (Houston law firm), immigration law specialty. Solis, a staff attorney with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) from San Antonio. Information from event flyer included with cassette tape.
