Thomas Walker, retired professor of Latin American Studies at Ohio State University, discusses his research on the Christian Democratic Movement in Nicaragua and his experiences living and travelling in Latin America, primarily Nicaragua, as a member of the Peace Corps and during the Sandinista movement. Walker concludes with a discussion of some of the more challenging and emotionally impactful experiences during his time in Nicaragua. This interview was conducted by Martin do Nascimento, a graduate student in Latin American Studies and Journalism, whose reserach focuses upon social justice issues and the portrayal of Latinos in the United States.
