And until recently, tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants also attained a piece of that dream...they've bought American homes. In fact, banks that made the mortgages say they've been some of their better investments. But now, with increasing immigration raids and the financial crisis... That's all coming to an abrupt halt...and some in the real estate business wonder who's going to take the place of these willing buyers in the marketplace.
