In the late 1990s, the world rediscovered Cuban music as the musicians of The Buena Vista Social Club burst onto the international scene. The rustic, cowboy hat wearing Eliades Ochoa was a core member of the group, and one of the youngest at a then 50 years of age. Since that initial success, the guitarist and singer has taken his guajiro, or country, sound to all corners of the globe.
