Segment #2 GEORGIA POLICE

A new law in Georgia requires law enforcement officers to notify federal immigration authorities when they arrest undocumented immigrants for a felony crime or driving under the influence. Police say the new state law could help deport criminals more quickly. But already, immigrants throughout the state are suspicious about contacting the local police for anything. In one small town just west of Atlanta, a victim of a crime called police for help, and is now facing deportation. Emily Kopp of Georgia Public Broadcasting has more. (3:20)
