Segment #1 IMMIGRATION VIGILS

Since June of 2006, Immigration, Customs and Enforcement...or ICE agents have arrested more than 18,000 people the agency says are living in the US illegally. That's only a fraction of the 11 million undocumented workers estimated to be living in the country. Despite the lack of new legislation to deal with immigration, the Department of Homeland Security is stepping up its efforts to detain undocumented immigrants. But as contributor Nancy Mullane Reports, some communities are upset at the large scale and tactics of the raids and are trying to prevent ICE from conducting further raids. (6:58)

Segment #2 CHEVYBOAT CUBANS

With Cuba just 90 miles away from Florida, some Cuban-Americans have dreamed of sailing back to their homeland for years. And since Fidel Castro fell ill eight months ' ' ago, those dreams seemed close to being realized. Two Cuban-Americans have plans for that return in an unusual vessel, a converted Chevy truck. Reporter Lygia Navarro went to Miami to check out the 'Libertad' before it hit the water. (3:38)

One of the top stories of the week has been the controversy over the firing of eight federal prosecutors by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, allegedly for political purposes. For commentator Raul Reyes, the whole issue conjures some choice words in Spanish. (2:42)
