Segment #1: COMMUNITY GARDEN EVICTIONS

Supporters called it the largest urban farm in the nation. But this week, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies shut it down, throwing some 350-neighborhood farmers off the land. For more than a decade, the bountiful yields of the south central farm had supplemented the meager tables of the mostly immigrant, low-income residents of south LA. Eric Roy reports from KCRW in Los Angeles. (2:40)

Segment #2: GUATEMALANS AFRAID TO LEAVE FARM

Of the millions of people who have entered the United States illegally to find work, a growing number are finding jobs far north, on the dairy farms of Wisconsin, New York and Vermont. It's year-round work. But the further north you go, the closer you get to the other border, the one with Canada. North Country Public Radio's David Sommerstein reports from one dairy farm in northern New York State, where the workers there try to live invisible lives. (4:20)
