Segment #1: BOLIVIA ELECTIONS

Bolivian voters came out in surprisingly high numbers to elect their first indigenous president. Evo Morales won by more than 51 percent of the electorate. That makes the former leader of Bolivian coca growers the most popular elected official in the country's history. His supporters say they're expecting a lot in return from Morales. And his biggest challenge now is meeting their high expectations. Latino USA's Franc Contreras reports from La Paz. (5:27)

Segment #2: PERU'S COCALERO PROTESTS

In 2002, President George W. Bush and Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo signed a 'Zero Coca,' agreement. The Toledo administration was promised $300 million in aid from the U.S., if it would eradicate coca from the Peruvian countryside. But Peru's coca farmers, or cocaleros, see the persecution of the coca plant as a threat to their livelihood. And in recent months, a growing social and political movement challenging the Zero Coca agreement has been building. As part of its crackdown on this so-called coca-rebellion, the Toledo Administration has raised the stakes by arresting cocalero leader and vice presidential hopeful Nancy Obregon. Segment #3: JOSE MARTI PARK

January 3rd marks the 45th anniversary since the United States broke off diplomatic relations with Cuba. The U.S. imposed a crippling economic embargo and travel ban on the island nation to isolate Fidel Castro's communist regime. So many people may find it surprising to learn that a small park in Florida is legally the property of the Cuban state. Latino USA contributor Andrew Stelzer brings us the story of a plot of land in Tampa that pre-dates the embargo, and even the existence of the Cuban nation itself. And with all things Cuban- American, it's part of an on-going struggle surrounding Fidel Castro, Cuban identity, and the future of Cuba. (6:25)
