Segment #1: ROUNDTABLE: BEYOND NOMINATION HEARINGS

Supreme Court nominee John Roberts faced intense questioning from senators in his confirmation hearings to replace the late Chief Justice William Rehnquist. But much of the buzz on Capitol Hill was already looking past the hearings...wondering who President Bush will pick as his second appointee to the high court. Before being nominated as Chief Justice, Roberts was initially nominated to replace retiring Associate Justice Sandra Day O'Conner. But Rehnquist's death left another seat on the court to fill, and many political analysts have suggested that the time is ripe for a Hispanic to be chosen. Near the top of the short list is U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, a long-time member of Bush's inner circle. Latino USA's Maria Hinojosa addresses this issue with known analysts. (4:19)

This summer, city officials and police in Danbury, Connecticut carried out sweeps of backyard volleyball games. Thousands of immigrants from Ecuador have flooded into the city in recent years, and brought along their passion for a special brand of the game called Ecua-volley. But the Ecuadorian community's unique pursuit of their national pastime is creating friction with some neighbors who demanded that the disruptive games be shut down.
