Segment #1 Throughout Latin America December 28 is observed as El Dia de los Santos Inocentes, the Day of the Holy Innocents. For centuries Spanish speaking communities have observed this day, but here in the United States until recently the holiday has not been well recognized. Many Latinos in the country are attempting to revive this Latino equivalent to April Fools' Day.

Segment #2 The Legend of the Poinsettia. The story of Pepita and her offering of a bouquet weeds at the village chapel. This gift would miraculously burst into blooms of brilliant red. Of course these weeds are poinsettias, a plant that is native to Mexico and Central America.

Segment #3 For years Latino USA contributor Antonio Sacre has been trying to get his family, especially his father, to open up and tell stories from their home country of Cuba. Any questions about the home country would bring about silence or a change in the subject. Only after Antonio got an assignment to cover Cuban stories did his father, in an effort to help, open up.
