Segment #1 Argentina's economic troubles intensify. One in six Argentineans is jobless. The country is almost bankrupt after nearly four years of recession.

Segment #2 South Americans also remember September 11, but from the year 1973. On September 11, 1973 the military in Chile staged a bloody coup with U.S. government backing that put Augusto Pinochet into power and killed democratically elected socialist president, Salvador Allende.

Segment #3 For the past decade trade has been a tool used by the United States to curb the drug flow from overseas. Bolivia has for years has been trying to stop coca production. The plant is a traditional element in indigenous Andean culture and thousands of campesino farmers make their living growing coca.
