Anti-Immigrant Measures - 1995 saw the rise of a number of anti-immigrant measures across the country, and the attempted implementation of California's Proposition 187, which would deny social services including education to undocumented immigrants. Latino USA's Mandalit Del Barco reported on what some called the backlash caused by Proposition 187.

Latina in the Simpson Trial - In the celebrated murder trial of OJ. Simpson, Salvadoran immigrant Rosa Lopez suddenly became a star witness. Legal affairs reporter Manuel Medrano, of KNBC-TV In Los Angeles, reviewed her testimony.

Death of Selena- The death of Tejano superstar singer Selena Quintanilla Perez on March 31 shocked people across this county and throughout Latin America. Latino USA's Maria Martin reported on memorial services by Latinos across the nation for the fallen singer.

Latino Movies - 1995 was not a bad year for Hollywood films about Latinos. The year included the production of 'A Walk in The Clouds' by Director Alfonso Arau aid Gregory Nava's 'Mi Familia', about which Mandalit Del Barco reported.

Oklahoma City Bombing - Oklahoma City Latinos were traumatized by the terrorist bombing on April 19th of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building. Latino USA's Maria Martin reported on Latinos who were killed in the blast and efforts by the Latino community there to gather support after the devastation.
