Mexican Aerial Photographs, 1963-1966

This folder contains Zone #62-A Film Rolls 1520, 1521, 1522, 1525. These materials were transferred from the Texas Memorial Museum (TMM) to the Benson. The binders that once held the grouped photos (which have been photocopied) are accurate, and the numbers shown on the binder correspond to those photographed on the film. These pictures are believed to show the entire length of Canal del Infiernillo (~45 miles), which is a narrow sea channel that is between Isla Tiburón and the Sonora coast in northwest Mexico. This channel is also the home of the Seri/Comcaác people. More details about what each linea represents are in pages 1 and 2 of the abstract (Photocopies in folder). The numbers 6/63, 6/64, 6/65, and 6/66 are suspected to correspond to the dates June 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966.
