Born Digital Records

These born digital files were extracted from a hard drive containing images, videos, and audio recordings from the Raza Unida 50th anniversary conference held at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) from September 15 to 17, 2022. The files include panel presentations, audience interactions, and social gatherings that took place throughout the duration of the conference. The audio recordings serve as an additional form of documentation for presentations that were originally recorded with video. The born digital files are in various formats, such as .jpeg, .mp4, CR2, and .wav. The series comprises a total of 5,627 digital files, amounting to 249 gigabytes. The dates of these files were determined based on their last modified timestamps. To improve user accessibility, the files have been renamed following updated naming conventions. However, the original folder names have been preserved in a reference text file titled "originalFolderNameStructure". Users are encouraged to consult this file to navigate the directories and locate specific panel presentations accurately. Hard drive content was digital preserved (SIP 2025_0350 and SIP 2025_0411). Access copies were made available on an additional external drive.
