Monclova. Juan Fernandez Canseco obtains a grant of land at Las Juntas, known as Doma del "Chivato". Possession of this grant was given to him without surveying it. In 1700, the viceroy ordered possession of this tract to be given to Jose Sanchez in view of Canseco's deed of sale to him. In 1760, the lands were surveyed, 1697, January 18, to 1767, December 10:
