Subseries B5: Dream Home, 1958-2017, undated

The Dream Home subseries contains analog and born-digital materials produced and collected during the writing and publication of the book Dream Home: What You Need to Know Before You Buy. It is a consumer’s guide to buying a home with insight into the housing industry. Alofsin worked with three students from The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, Samuel Dodd, Priyanka Sen, and Jeanie Fan, in the design and production of the book. It was published in 2013 by Innerforms Ltd.

Materials in this subseries include real estate listings and magazines Alofsin accumulated as research for the book, correspondence, draft manuscripts, and publication information. Original order is retained.

Alofsin also developed and taught a course on the topic at The University of Texas at Austin, in which Dream Home: What You Need to Know Before You Buy served as the textbook.
