Series A: Faculty Papers, 1946-1996, undated

This series is comprised of four subseries which document the history and administration of the Community and Regional Planning (CRP) program, as well as Coltman's service to his profession throughout his tenure at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. The materials in subseries A1 through A3 include office memos, departmental and committee meeting minutes, course proposals and listings, curriculum development papers, correspondence, and agendas. Subseries A4 contains correspondence both written and received by Coltman. While correspondence is located throughout this collection, subseries A4 centers on student and faculty letters, cards, and postcards; letters of recommendation composed by Coltman for his students; and assorted professional correspondence. Subseries A5 contains newspaper clippings pertaining to neighborhood associations and urban planning in Austin, a copy of Coltman's "Austin Neighborhood Association Handbook," and materials relating to his work as a consultant for the Cherry Creek development in south Austin.
