Series C: Computer Programs and Software, 1973-1988, undated

This series primarily contains documents related to the research, development, and testing of the DEROB (Dynamic Energy Response of Buildings) software and its component programs, with other programs developed or used by Arumí-Noe represented as well. In the case of files left untitled or misleadingly labeled, explanatory titles appear within brackets. Records relating to DEROB computer software, including user manuals, technical specifications, flowcharts, analysis generated by DEROB, grant reports, and research proposals. The Correspondence subseries includes significant communications with Robert Hastings and Forrest Higgs regarding DEROB and its hourly analysis of energy use in buildings. Also there are a number of letters from associates outside of the United States (Sweden, South Africa, Switzerland, and Austria) describing specific applications of DEROB. Many items in this series are green bar computer printouts and complex mathematical notation.
