Series D: Director's files

The records in Series D relate to the activities and functions of the director’s role in managing the Visual Resources Collection. Many of the files included here were generated by Elizabeth Schaub, who has been director of the VRC since her predecessor James O’Donnell stepped down in 1998. While many records document everyday work activities, files also detail Schaub’s involvement in expanding the audience for and extending the scope of the VRC’s circulating material. The files in Sub-series D1 pertain specifically to the work of the director, while the files in Sub-series D2 pertain more generally to management activities that may or may not have been administered by the director. Documents include email correspondence, handwritten meeting and conference notes, conference agendas, event calendars, educational material on slide curation and management, staff, faculty, and donor lists, audiovisual reports, circulation inventories, and financial records relating to photographic supplies and the administration of the Photography Union. Some materials in this series are restricted due to privacy or security issues.
