Lecture materials, rosters, course readers, records of student enrollment, attendance sheets, handwritten notes, class assignment, class syllabi, and some correspondence. Some student records are subject to privacy and confidentiality regulations and have been removed and placed in a restricted box. Folders labeled "Student Information" may contain student correspondence, rosters, classroom sign-in sheets, and records created by teaching assistants.

Courses are identified in order of: semester, year, School of Architecture (ARC) course number, departmental title for the class, the variant name sometimes employed by Duke, followed by the topic or project for the students, or the folder contents. Information in brackets is supplied by the processors. Courses with a listing such as 340M/384M may indicate a course with undergraduate and graduate students.
