Series A: Personal Papers, 1953-1976, 1992, undated

The Personal Items series contains certificates, artwork, clippings, printed material, and handwritten notes encompassing Blake Alexander's personal interests and endeavors. Degrees earned at University of Texas at Austin - Bachelor of Architecture in 1950 and Bachelor of Science in Art - as well as a 1953 Master of Arts from Columbia University are included. A 1956 European trip, embarked upon via Cunard Ocean Liner, is documented through handwritten notes and itineraries, and printed material such as brochures, programs, and menus. A sampling of Alexander's artwork is present, both watercolors and charcoal sketches. Of unusual note, classic car posters show an affinity for the history of the automobile.

The Memoirs are Blake Alexander's remembrances recorded in 1992 through Baylor University's oral history program. The interviews were conducted by Dan K. Utley and James Wright Steely. Notable highlights include Alexander's war involvement and details regarding the UT School of Architecture.
