Project# 0994.07 Cultural Resources Survey, Naval Air Station Atlanta, GA, 1999 - 2000

HHM inventoried all extant Navy-owned properties at NAS Atlanta and supervised archeological investigation undertaken by Brockington and Associates. Surveyed and documented 139 properties and developed an historic context using primary and secondary sources gathered from state and local repositories. HHM evaluated the resources for NRHP eligibility, within the framework of the historic context. There were no resources that met the 50-year age criteria for inclusion in the NRHP, and no buildings achieved significance during the Cold War. Brockington and Associates found no NRHP-eligible archeological sites within the project area. The Georgia SHPO concurred with all conclusions.
