Project# 0096.060 Historic Resources Survey of Amarillo, Phase 8: Selected Areas of Amarillo, TX, 1996 - 1997

As the final phase of a multi-year, multi-phased effort to document historic properties in the city, this project was undertaken for the City of Amarillo Planning Department with Community Development Block Grant monies. As consultant to the City, HHM documented 2,826 properties within all previously unsurveyed areas within the 1997 corporate limits of Amarillo. HHM encoded all survey data into a database program and undertook more extensive architectural and historical documentation on the 368 properties ranked as HIGH or MEDIUM priority resources. David Moore served as project director and assessed every identified property. He also prepared the survey report and supervised the photographic and research-gathering phases of the project. The report was accepted by the City of Amarillo and was completed on time and within budget.
