Project# 0095.050 HABS Documentation of NRHP-Eligible Resources at Naval Air Station Dallas, TX, 1995 - 1996

HHM prepared Historic American Buildings Survey/Historic American Engineering Survey (HABS/HAER) Level I documentation of 14 buildings and structures determined eligible for the NRHP. The field work involved the following major tasks: (1) researching the history and architectural development of each of the properties; (2) reviewing materials at the Public Works Office at NAS Dallas and at local repositories; and (3) assessing the physical character and integrity of each building/structure, working with an architectural team that photographed the buildings/structures, measured the properties, and prepared architectural drawings of each property. The documentation consisted of 300 pages of written material, 47 sheets of measured drawings, and 108 large format photographs. The National Park Service reviewed and approved the materials and forwarded them to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., for permanent storage. HHM completed the work within the allotted time and incurred no change orders in this project.
