Project# 0089.020 Historic Resources Survey of Ellis County in Support of Proposed Construction of the Superconducting Super Collier, 1989 - 1990

In support of the proposed construction of the Superconducting Super Collider, HHM conducted a county-wide historic resources survey of Ellis County on behalf of the US Department of Energy. HHM identified a total of 3,174 for the project and integrated these results with data from previously completed historic resources surveys of Waxahachie and Ennis (undertaken a few years earlier by HHM). HHM prepared a historic context and associated property types and also histories for each community in the survey. For the 592 properties recommended to be eligible for the NRHP, HHM also provided supplemental photographic documentation, architectural evaluation, and research data sheets that included tax and/or deed information. The reported also identified 51 resources that could be directly affected by the proposed construction of the Super Collider.
