Project# 0089.050 Historic Resources Survey of Amarillo, Phase 2: Central Business District and Wolflin Neighborhood, Amarillo, TX, 1989 - 1990

HHM conducted a reconnaissance-level survey of the Woflin neighborhood for Preservation Amarillo. HHM identified a total of 599 properties constructed prior to 1945, 128 of which were classified in the HIGH preservation priority category. HHM subsequently prepared a historic district National Register nomination. The nomination was accepted by the State Board of Review and National Park Service. In conjunction with the nomination, HHM also prepared a statewide historic context of residential suburbs in Texas before World War II.
